However, astrology does not provide diagnoses equivalent to those made by medical professionals. Instead, it uses the nature of zodiacal principles to understand the roots of the condition. When these principles are afflicted, they form a “mental illness formula.”

A mental illness formula arises when the 3rd and 12th principles are afflicted, or when there is an affliction of the 3rd, 4th, and 12th principles.
The 3–12 formula indicates neuropsychiatric disorders, insomnia, or a tendency toward neurasthenia. Depending on the severity, this can manifest as neurosis, psychosis, or serious conditions like schizophrenia. It is often accompanied by behavioral peculiarities, eccentricities, and psychological dependencies.
The 3–4–12 formula is associated with neuropsychiatric disorders, which can manifest as either illnesses or behavioral deviations.

Both are strongly indicated.
Mental illness is present. While madness and psychological problems are less pronounced, there is a stronger indication of disconnection from reality and inadequacy.
Mental conditions, like all other diseases, vary between natal and local charts.
With a proper astrological approach, it is often possible to lead such individuals into remission or significantly alleviate the severity of their condition.
