Why is choosing the right period for cosmetic surgery one of the most challenging tasks for an astrologer?

Let’s emphasize once again: selecting favorable periods for anything is only possible if a rectified horoscope is available. Without it, forecasting events of any kind is not feasible.

When an astrologer selects a favorable period for planned surgeries or medical procedures, the main rule applies: the closest approaching progressed aspect that indicates the need for medical intervention must be harmonious. Surgeries should not be performed under tense aspects—of course, this applies to planned surgeries, not emergencies. Additionally, it is preferable to avoid periods with aspects that form a “danger formula.”

However, when it comes to aesthetic procedures, we must consider not only safety but also beauty. This means that the favorable period will be one in which there are no active tense aspects whatsoever. Even if a tense aspect does not create a danger formula or indicate medical problems (such as negative interactions between the first house and the sixth or eighth), it can still result in an undesirable outcome.

For example, a facelift might go smoothly without complications or inflammation, but one eye could end up higher than the other, or the mouth may appear uneven. Similarly, with injectable procedures, the results might be generally good, but swelling could occur.

Identifying such periods can be a challenging task, and the astrologer must always inform the client of potential complications.

Let’s look at an example. This is the chart of progressed aspects for February 1, 2023. We can see that a significant number of active aspects include the formulas 1+6 and 1–6 (the first house represents appearance, while the sixth house corresponds to minimally invasive medical procedures, dental treatments, and cosmetic procedures).

Clearly, the client feels a strong need for cosmetic procedures, as this abundance of aspects provides the necessary motivation. However, since there are also tense aspects (represented by red lines), and quite a few of them, we must be very cautious when selecting the specific date for the procedure.

Here’s how this works in general: when certain aspects with specific indications are present, the person feels a strong urge to act on them. For example, if there were no aspects with the formulas 1+6 or 1–6, the individual would not feel the need to visit a cosmetologist.

But the indications and motivation are there. If she undergoes a cosmetic procedure during the influence of a negative aspect, she is likely to face unpleasant results or complications afterward. Conversely, if the procedure is performed during a harmonious aspect, the outcome will be positive.

For instance, we can see that a trine between the Sun and Black Moon becomes exact on February 25. Among other indications, this aspect includes the formula 1+6, making it favorable for cosmetic procedures, as well as tonselectomies or dental treatments.

However, we can also see that before this, the Moon forms square aspects with the 5th and 11th cusps, creating a tense 1–6 formula, which will remain active until February 17.

This means that if she goes to a cosmetologist before February 17, the result will likely be negative. I strongly advise against doing so. After February 17, these square aspects will start to diverge, though they will still exert some influence. The next applying aspect, however, will be the favorable trine between the Sun and Black Moon.

Therefore, if she needs to visit a cosmetologist, it is best to do so between February 18 and 25.

That said, we also observe numerous tense aspects active during this period. These aspects, while not catastrophic, can still negatively affect the results. The client is protected from major complications (such as inflammation, infection, or allergic reactions) if the procedure is performed between February 18 and 25. However, some imperfections may still occur due to the overall tension of the period.

In this particular case, the client experienced significant swelling, which caused some temporary discomfort. However, the overall rejuvenation results were positive.

The astrologer’s task in such cases is to explain how this process works and outline potential consequences. Since the client feels a strong motivation to undergo cosmetic procedures during the influence of these aspects, it is essential to help them proceed as safely as possible.
